Personality:  If Varin's pesonaliy can be summed up in one word. It would be Stoic. She often seems cold and uncaring on the surface, often only letting her serious side come out around others. Even her friends rarely see her other emotions. She generally keeps them bottled up inside, including her pain and deals with them alone. Ther does not mean she does not care however, he cares very deeply for her close ones to the point she would die for any of the ones close to her heart. She believes that love is essential for a jedi even though many believe it only leads to darkness.

Varin can be somewhat thick at times, not understanding what’s going on around her but is a genius in battle and relentless if her loved ones or comrades are in danger. Her persona changes a great deal during training and in battle. She hopes that even though she swore the oaths she would one day have a family of her own and she attempts daily to sway the Jedi order, trying to show them that their way not the only way. Though she would never betray them.

history: Varin doesn't remember much of her past, well she says she doesn't. What she will tell you is that it was complicated. Her family was not a rich one, her and her three siblings. Her twin sister, older brother and younger sister, all shared the same room. Their mother slaved away for hours upon hours to earn them money, often working in the most seediest parts of Coruscants under city while their father, who said he was working, left the kids alone all day only to come home drunk and violent. 

For years it never got really violent. He'd scream and yell, telling their mother it was her fault that they were so poor. That she should have a better job.

Their mother, soon unable to cope sent them to an orphanage and on two days after Varin's seventh birthday a Jedi who visited the orphanage often to seek out force strong children was drawn to Varin immediately and she was separated from her siblings and ushered to jedi temple as quickly as possible so she could start training before being to old.

There were fears at first and the council were reluctant because of the darkness she had seen and been dealt as a child. A master by the name of Kwon Sarya took her as her apprentice however, saying it was the jedi's duty to help ones that had sene the darkness.

Varin excelled in blade combat and gained her first lightsaber at the age of ten. She was dubbed a natural though her force powers were something to be desired. She was strong in the force indeed but she had trouble focusing on it enough to use the vast amount that she seemed to attract.

And thus it continued. She excelled in saber combat but always lacking in manipulating the force. Always behind the other padawans. Instead of focusing on force based attacks she used what power she did have to augment her physical prowess. Make herself jump that little further and higher, move just a tad faster.

At first it was unnoticeable but after years and years of training it has made her quite the formidable opponent in one on one combat.

She passed the Jedi Knight test quite easily but it made her humbler, more respectful of her abilities and when Kwon retired Varin was sent out on her own for the first time at the age of 18.

Ever since then she's often worked alone, never taking an apprentice. Other jedi are quite weary of her because of her views on emotions and she has been known to have a temper when stirred. Some jedi believe she could fall to the dark side and were dismayed when she was made a jedi master.

She was told however in no uncertain terms if she requested to be on the council at her current stage she would be flat out denied. This actually amused Varin as she knew in her heart she would never betray the Jedi but they were still wearing of her presence and influence.
