Lock is fiercely loyal to Revan, and is fiercely loyal to his own troops, and the Empire itself, not wanting to risk Sith life, though he has no problem wasting Republic life, as it was looked upon by him and most others in the fleet as something to look down upon, an archaic system that has to be destroyed, so something new can come out of the ashes. Lock was a loyalist, and that was that. He used to be shy, before he was locked in the bridge with a few other men for a few hours, recovering from the shattering broadside delivered to there ship. He drives his men hard, having starfighter pilots in simulators for at least an hour a day, has marines doing simulations and mock battles on the inside of ships or at land, when he can, and has all people in the fleet he commands constantly learning new things, languages, to be better at there job, to have the best possible fleet.
History:Lock was born on Alsakan to a Captain of a small Republic Corvette ship, named Captain Sal Terrik, the Redeemer, and to a mother, a wealthy girl of a small time Kuat ship building family. Soon after being born, his parents decided to move to Kuat, due to the mothers family, being there, and able to get the captain, who had just been discharged from the navy, a job in the shipbuilding there. The first few years of Lock's life were uneventful, having a wealthy, and upper class life. His father soon became the creator of a small shipyard, which thrived, but he soon sold it, for massive profit, to the owners of much of the giant ring of shipyards around the planet. His father was accepted back into the navy for small engagements in a few wars, mostly very small ones.
Once Lock turned ten, his father made him get at least a bit better then average understanding in melee, unarmed combat, and ranged weapons, as the thought was Lock would grow up to be an infantry commander in the war that everyone could see was coming, as war clouds loomed.
Lock was also to spend long hours in front of books about space strategy, and was able to learn a spacer language, so that he could communicate more easily with the rank and file he was bound to command. when he was a teenager, he was a midshipman on a small battleship, when the Mandalorian wars broke out, sending him under the command of a smart admiral, who tutored him in space warfare, and they were in multiple engagements. In one, Lock's ship was caught by a frightening broadside from a Mandalorian ship. The shields had been shut off, due to this being a surprise attack, and half the ship had been torn apart. Luckily, the steel on the bridge's windows, which had been hit and broken, had closed, but not without killing the admiral, as well as sucking out much of the bridge crew. The ship was immobilized, and was reduced to a wrecking hulk. Of the 700 men aboard it, only around 100 were left, since the crew was killed by the vacuum, and the broadside itself.
Lock was shellshocked for a bit, but republic reinforcements came in, and picked up the men and him. The ship was scrapped, and made into fighters, at least, that's the last he heard from a few of the guys he had run into while taking a tour of the Kuat shipyards.
After a few more years, he rose through the ranks, eventually controlling a capital ship in a few engagements, inflicting causualties on enemies, and losing very few men each time, except for a few times when he lost whole starfighter wings, but that was a different issue.
He was put under command of Revan, a Jedi, who he served faithfully. He really was loyal to Revan, and would follow him to the grave, seeing how smart he was over the years.
When Revan went into deep space to track down the last of the Mandalorians, he went with Revan. Revan awarded him with a rank up, to one of his top admirals. When Revan went to the Sith side, Lock went with him, defecting to his side, like many of the Jedi and soldiers that went with him. Of course, there was a few men who were Republic officers forever. Most were sent on there way, but a select few were kept by the admiral. Lock knew that Revan probably knew of this, as he saw him standing, watching a few times, but the officers were tortured, and most of them died. The rest were sent in a ship, back to the Republic, though he doubted many made it.
The Admiral currently seeks to attack the Republic to further Revan's empire, and to further the glory of the Sith Empire itself.
”There was something lurking out there, something that devoured Revan and Malak - and many other Jedi.”
